How do I use the mouse to navigate the maps?

Drag to Pan

To move the map north, south, east or west hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse.

Wheel Mouse to Zoom In or Out

If you are using a mouse with a scroll wheel, you can quickly zoom in and out by positioning the wheel over the map and rolling the wheel. Be warned though; quickly flicking through lots of zoom levels can cause performance problems. See Why is mapping so slow? for an explanation.

Double Click to Centre and Zoom In

Double-clicking the left mouse button will centre the map on the location you clicked, and zoom in one level.

Double Right Click to Zoom Out

Double-clicking the right mouse button will zoom out one level. Unlike left-double-click, it does not re-centre the map.
