![]() | Welcome to the Northern Queensland Wildfire Mitigation ProjectThe Northern Queensland Wildfire Mitigation Project is a collaborative interagency mapping exercise funded by all three levels of government through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government’s Natural Disaster Mitigation Program which aims to decrease or eliminate the impact of natural disasters on society and the environment. How to use this siteThere are no charges or fees for using this service. However, due to data licensing restrictions, access to mapping products is restricted to approved stake holders. Approved agencies include rural and urban fire brigade units, emergency services and local government offices. If you wish to apply for access, please complete the application form. Download MapsThe Rural Fire Brigade Resource Mapping strand of this project has produced 90+ fire district maps in A0 and A3 size. PDF's and JPG's of these maps are available for download. Exchange DataSubmit updates directly to the data warehouse using the file exchange facility. Online MappingCreate new spatial data sets by digitizing them directly online. Information that you digitize can be saved for your own use, or published, for sharing with other stakeholders. Network Upgrade CompleteWe have moved the wildfire server to a new home on a fast network, and things are looking good.
